Welcome to another exciting season of Battlefords North Stars hockey. I know I speak for the entire organization when I say that I'm excited to be a part of the North Stars organization and the community of the Battlefords.

Last year was a learning experience, but as we prepare to launch into the 09-10 season, I feel there is a ton to be excited about.

A determined, hard-working group of players finally got a taste of playoff success last season with our sweep of Nipawin and our six-game battle with the Humboldt Broncos. But don't think for one second that we plan on resting on our success of last year.

Both on and off the ice, the Battlefords North Stars take enormous pride in their community involvement. We realize that in order for Junior Hockey to thrive in this area, our players need to make the most of their time in the area.

I'm excited to be working alongside the best staff in the SJHL. Blair Atcheynum and Gregg Sheppard have proven to be invaluable to this club. Equipment manager Dale Jackson is also back this year a long with trainer Missy Reiter, and the hardest working board of directors and  volunteers in the league. A great organization needs great people from top to bottom, and in my years of coaching I've never been surrounded by such a loyal and assisting group.

The Battlefords North Stars would like to sincerely thank all of our loyal and true fans, our generous sponsors and our reliable volunteers. We will make sure that we continue to bring 'courage' and 'commitment' to our 'community'.
