The Stars took on the Estevan Bruins Monday night for game #2 of the 4 day long SJHL Showcase in Warman SK. North Stars came out hot with Marshall Light sending in his 3rd of the season to start the scoring at 3:11 in with assists from Alex Izyk & Kobie Anderson. To close out scoring in the 1st period Jackson Allan capitalizes on the power play with helpers from Alex Izyk & Ben Portner to end the first period with a 2-0 lead. The powerplay continues to fire with Jackson Allan netting his second of the night at 3:31 into the 2nd with assists from Alex Izyk & Tanner Gold. Estevan is able to get on the board during a 4 minute powerplay to close out the 2nd period with a 3-1 score in favour of the Stars. For the third time that evening Stars are able to capitilize on the powerplay with Ben Portner sending home his 7th of the season with assists form Hunter Burgeson & Kian Bell to bring the lead to 4-1 at the 10 minute mark. Estevan pulls their goalie and with a missed pass Girod is able to beat the defence to the puck at the other end, and send it over to Williams to hit the empty net with Izyk also getting the helper on that one at 15:49. Stars Win the game 5-1 with a 4A game from Alex Izyk and a 2G game from Jackson Allan while Maric stands tall in the net with 30/31 shots saved. The game ended with a meet and great with Saskatoons U15 Saskatoon North Stars!
