The North Stars exploded into the win column for the first time this season with a 6-1 win over the Nipawin Hawks Saturday night at home! This gave newly named Assistant Coach Owen Lamb his first win, with help on the bench from Coach Martin Smith. Anthony Campbell also recorded his first goal as a North Star which would later turn out to be the game winning goal!
Penalty Kill ran at 100% for the evening to round us out to a 86% on the season thus far with the powerplay going 1/4 to record our first powerplay goal of the season. Baumbach’s first start as a North Star lead to be a successful one with only letting in one goal on 26 shots while making some huge saves including one that had the fans cheering early in the 1st period!
North Stars are back in action Friday & Saturday night against the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the ACC with a 7:30pm puck drop both nights!
