Billeting

Billet Information

Each season the Battlefords North Stars bring players to the team from across the country and we want to welcome them in the best way possible. The players need billet families willing to share their homes and take them in as part of the family.

For many of the players, this may be their first time away from home and will be in need of a stable living environment for their move to the Battlefords. Part of our commitment to our players and their parents is to provide them with a good home.

To help with the expense of housing a player, the organization provides the billet family with $450 per month/per player in grocery cards. For families who are willing and able to accept a 2nd player, we will provide $450 in grocery cards for the 2nd player. Each billet home will receive free access to home games for the regular season.

We invite all those interested in billeting (this includes previous billets) to The Civic Centre- upper auditorium on Monday August 21st from 7:00-8:00 pm. Anyone wishing to billet this season must have a representative from their home attend. If you absolutely cannot attend, kindly contact Kyle Kellgren or Brayden Klimosko.

What is a billet family all about?

Our billet families should be positive ambassador’s for the North Stars Organization. In assisting to make a home away from home for players coming from all over Canada and into the USA.

How long is the billet family commitment?

Time with each player will vary. Some are with the billet family during the fall training camp and pre-season only; others require a home for the duration of the hockey season. Depending on the season, this may be from mid-August to the end of May. Most players will go home during the holiday breaks or as the schedule permits.
